Description of Grant Management session:
This session will cover grant management and requirements under the Uniform Guidance including:  identifying and understanding challenging compliance areas;  implementing control activities over the compliance requirements; avoiding common deficiencies in internal control and compliance; and reporting requirements for the Schedule of Expenditures of Federal Awards and Data Collection Form.

Description of Financial Reporting Issues Session:
This session will cover financial reporting issues that many local governments face, including: debt issuances in governmental funds, operating leases with scheduled rent increases, calculation of net investment in capital assets, restricted net position and fund balance reporting, capital outlay and capital asset additions, and the impact of accounting changes in financial reporting. This session is designed for finance officers, accountants, practicing independent CPAs and others who have had experience with governmental accounting or have completed the intermediate governmental accounting class.

3 CPE per session or 6 CPE for both sessions.
